Plans for SolutionHealth

Overview

SolutionHealth is comprised of Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health & Hospice Care (HHHC). SolutionHealth began with a vision of integrating services across Elliot Health System and Southern New Hampshire Health, and in 2022, welcomed Home Health & Hospice Care to the organization.

Over time, we have learned a great deal about our ability to integrate each of the three healthcare systems into a regionally coordinated delivery system and have recognized that the three organizations cannot be integrated in a way that enhances their missions. Under consideration is the proposed disaffiliation of SolutionHealth, to return Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health & Hospice Care to independent, board-governed institutions.

Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health & Hospice Care have provided the absolute highest quality care to our communities for more than 130 years. That longevity remains rooted in a deep sense of responsibility for continuously improving how they serve local families, friends, and neighbors. Regardless of any change, Southern New Hampshire Health, Home Health & Hospice Care, and Elliot Health System are committed to continuing to provide high-quality healthcare to their local communities both now, and well into the future.

FAQ's

Regardless of any changes, Elliot Health System Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health & Hospice Care are dedicated to continuing to provide patients with access to the range of healthcare services they offer—this continues to be a top priority for each organization.

Our organizations came together with an aim to better serve our missions by improving access to care, enhancing quality of care, and better managing costs. Over time, we have learned a great deal about our ability to integrate each of the three healthcare organizations into a regionally coordinated delivery system and have recognized that the three organizations cannot be integrated in a way that enhances their missions. The three healthcare organizations within SolutionHealth have been providing the absolute highest quality care to our communities individually during SolutionHealth’s tenure and are committed to continuously improving their delivery of medical care for the benefit of the health and well-being of our communities.

Today, SolutionHealth largely serves administrative support functions of the organization, while most of the high-quality medical care continues to be provided through our individual local health systems in the Greater Manchester and Greater Nashua areas. Staff members may be moved to roles at Elliot Health System or Southern New Hampshire Health to support these individual organizations, and their patients, locally.

Today, SolutionHealth provides primarily administrative support, and does not provide healthcare delivery. Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health and Hospice Care have been providing care for their communities for more than 130 years, and this will continue. The excellent care that patients expect from Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health & Hospice Care will continue regardless of structural changes.

The focus of both organizations is to provide access to excellent patient care to their communities. Both health systems already collaborate with a variety of other providers. With regard to any potential broader partnerships in the future, the organizations and their boards will ensure that any partnerships under consideration align with their health system’s mission and care delivery, and the needs of their community.
